Cecil and Queally - winning again

The Oasis Dream colt appreciated the ease in grade after finishing third in a Group 2 at Ascot last month.

Today he got a nice tow into the race before coming to challenge Ra Junior towards the far side rail.

He surged strongly to the front at the furlong pole and didn’t need to be hard ridden by jockey Tom Queally to prevail by two-and-three-quarter lengths.

Mike Marshall, assistant to winning trainer Henry Cecil, said: “We’re delighted that he will head into the winter winning like he has done this afternoon.

“He didn’t have a hard race. He was given a nice lead into the race and we were always just where we wanted to be. He is a nice prospect for next year.”

The colt, owned by John and Darren May, has now won twice from five starts and has yet to finish outside the first three.
