NATIVE RULER strode out in stirring fashion as he continued his build-up to the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 19.

On this morning’s evidence he has progressed from that run as he worked well on Racecourse Side in company with Unleashed and Ajaan.
Jockey Tom Queally was on board as he stretched out in pleasing style over 7f on the watered gallop.
Trainer Henry Cecil said: “He is back in work and should hopefully go to Royal Ascot. The mile and a half there should suit him and he seems to be picking things up well after his three races.
“He has improved and is a progressive colt who I don’t think we have seen the best of yet.”
He could be joined in that race by stable-mate Father Time who finished second in the Fairway Stakes at Newmarket a week ago.
Cecil reflected: “Father Time ran well at Newmarket. He pulled himself coming out of the stalls and was never balanced after that. The ground was also too fast for him that day. There is a chance he could also go for the King Edward.”
