TRAINER Jeremy Noseda is set to declare three runners at Ascot on Saturday, the principal being Captain Brilliance in the Abu Dhabi International handicap.

The son of Officer was last seen finishing a creditable second in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket and his trainer believes that he is still in good shape ahead of Saturday’s contest.

He said: “He is in good order and I am happy with him.

“I hope that the ground is good or faster and that the luck is with us regarding the draw and pace bias of the race.

“Johnny Murtagh will take the ride.”

Murtagh will also be in the saddle aboard Espiritu in a mile handicap for three-year olds.

Sir Robert Ogden’s colt was disappointing last time out but had previously run a career best to finish fourth in the Britannia handicap at the Royal Meeting.

The trio will be completed by Senses who is set to contest a 1m4f handicap.
