The son of Green Desert made his belated seasonal debut when second at Windsor last week and looked to have come on from that experience.
Jockey Shane Kelly had the 15-8 shot among the leaders during the early stages and kicked for home 2f out.
He galloped strongly to the line to record a two and a quarter lengths victory.
Harry Herbert, racing manager for the winning owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing said: “He’s had some minor problems such as sore shins and splints at home so it was great to get a win.
“This is only the beginning and hopefully he can go forward from here and will make into a nice four- year old for next year.”
Jeremy Noseda added after the race: “Thank God for a winner!”
