Strike The Deal lands Group 3 prize
Go Back
STRIKE THE DEAL this afternoon recorded his first win in Group company for over two years with victory in the Dubai Duty Free World Trophy at Newbury.

The son of Van Nistelrooy was a smart two-year-old, landing the Group 2 Richmond Stakes.

But it has taken until late in his four-year-old campaign for him to return to top form.

He won a Listed prize at Doncaster a week and a half ago and followed up in today's Group 3 over f5f.

He was ridden along in the early stages but was kept up to his work by jockey Kieren Fallon who soon had him back in touch with the rest of the field.

He kept responding well to Fallon’s strong drive and got to the front well inside the final furlong before scoring by a neck at odds of 9/2..

Strike The Deal seems to have found a perfect partner in Fallon and is clearly in the form of his life
