Lemon N Sugar scores at Lingfield
Go Back
LEMON N SUGAR gained a fourth career win when landing a 6f handicap at Lingfield this afternoon.

The daughter of Lemon Drop Kid, sent off the 2/1 favourite, has been hugely progressive this season, scoring four times at Southwell, Goodwood and Lingfield twice.

Jockey Ryan Moore settled her just off the leaders where she travelled well and was in the perfect position to make a move.

With 2f to go Moore started to push her along in order to retain his position and she responded to his urgings in good style, quickening up well and going to the front inside the final furlong to win by a length and three quarters.

Being American bred Lemon N Sugar looks very much at home on an artificial surface although she has shown good form on the turf as well.
