JEREMY Noseda was on the Newmarket gallops this morning to apply the finishing touches to his Breeders’ Cup trio’s preparations.

Fleeting Spirit:  'approaching Sprint in good order' - Noseda

Strike The Deal had his regular work-rider Joe Scally aboard as he strode out in good style ahead of his engagement in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint Turf.

The son of Van Nistelrooy was on the Limekilns Trial ground as he was put smoothly through his paces.

The Trial ground was also the scene for Awesome Act’s work-out. He was ridden by  Ryan Moore and went well in his exercise with an older companion. Awesome Act is inked in to contest the Breeders’ Cup Turf.

Noseda then turned his attentions to the Al Bahathri polytrack where Fleeting Spirit gave all the right signals in her gallop with work-rider Sean Murphy.

Fleeting Spirit will be making her second visit to Santa Anita but will compete in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint on the Pro-Ride rather than the grass equivalent this time around.

Noseda said: “Strike The Deal worked well over six furlongs. I was pleased with the way he picked up and quickened.

“Awesome Act galloped over seven furlongs and he’ll go to Santa Anita in good form.

“With the preference system and horses having multiple entries, we just need a few to stick by their original plans but I’m 95 per cent sure he will get in the Juvenile Turf.

“Fleeting Spirit went well on the Al Bahathri and she is approaching the race in good order.

“I think she will act on the polytrack synthetic surface and she is a class act, so I see no reason why she won’t be able to mix it with the American sprinters.

“All three horses are due to ship to America early tomorrow morning and now you just hope that they travel well and settle into their new environment at Santa Anita.”
