TRAINER Jeremy Noseda has revealed that consistent sprinter Strike The Deal has been ruled out for the season with an injury.

The five-year-old 'entire' suffered a training setback in Dubai that has put paid to his chances of competing in 2010.

Noseda said: "It is a bitter blow for us as he is a talented and consistent performer who has been a fabulous servant to the yard.

"We are very saddened by his injury and disappointed for his owner Martyn Barber that the horse will not be competing this coming turf season."

The five-year-old son of Van Nistelrooy shone at two, winning the Group 2 Richmond Stakes before finishing runner-up in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes.

He recaptured top form at four, nailing three wins,inclduing a Group 3 at Newbury.
