TRAINER Jeremy Noseda gave a positive news bulletin on his intended World Cup night duo of Leahurst and Forgotten Voice.

The Susan Roy-owned pair have remained in Dubai since their last runs at the Carnival and are being prepared for respective races on Dubai World Cup night (March 27).

Leahurst was victorious in his two starts at Meydan, both in handicap company, and will make a big step up in class when he lines up in the Group 1 Golden Shaheen.

Noseda said of the son of Verglas: “He worked very well at the weekend and is on schedule for the Golden Shaheen.

“Ryan Moore will take the ride and fingers crossed things go smoothly in the run up to the race.”

Forgotten Voice had returned to his best when second in Round 1 of the Maktoum Challenge back in January but failed to reproduce that run when last seen a week ago.

Noseda reflected: “I was a little disappointed with his last run but blame myself for the change of tactics. We made too much use of him and his was bustled along to maintain a position.

“We’ll take a chance in the Godolphin Mile and revert to waiting tactics and hope it’s a fast run race.”
