The Key Of Luck colt gave Chapple-Hyam a first annual success after Avoir Choisi hit the post three days earlier at Kempton.
Open Sesame was a well-backed scorer in a modest-looking 1m 1f maiden in which he was confidently ridden by Tom Queally.
He was held up towards the rear before Queally edged him out for his challenge over 2f out.
He took a few strides to assert but only needed a reminder from his rider to knuckle down and he led inside the final furlong before scoring by a length and a half.
Chapple-Hyam said: “He has done that nicely in what was probably just an ordinary race.
“There’s no plan at present. It’s just good that he was able to win on his debut and put our first victory of the year on the board.”
